Conversion Rate (CRO)

Traffic is there. Leads aren't.

Your site isn't asking for the sale.

02 / 08

The Problem

Why this dimension costs you business

Most small business websites describe what they do - but never clearly invite visitors to act. Missing CTAs, weak offers, and no urgency signals mean visitors leave meaning to "come back later." They never do.

Dimension 03

Example finding

No clear primary call-to-action exists above the fold. Visitors have no obvious next step, so they scroll, lose context, and leave without converting.

Common Failures

What goes wrong on most websites

CTA buried below the fold

If your primary call-to-action requires scrolling to find, most visitors never see it. First-screen CTA placement can increase conversions by 300%.

Vague CTA copy

"Submit", "Click here", or "Learn more" don't motivate action. Your CTA should name the specific outcome: "Book your free discovery call", "See your website's audit score".

No conversion path for cold visitors

Not every visitor is ready to buy on first visit. If your only option is "Book now", you lose the 80% who are researching. A softer lead magnet captures them before they're gone.

What Good Looks Like

Strong Conversion Rate (CRO) - the checklist

Primary CTA above the fold

The most important action on the page is visible without scrolling, on both desktop and mobile.

Action-oriented CTA copy

Every button names the specific outcome - not a generic verb like "Submit" or "Click here".

Social proof near CTA

Testimonials, case results, or trust signals appear within visual range of the conversion point.

Lead capture for cold visitors

At least one lower-commitment offer (guide, checklist, free audit) for visitors who aren't ready to buy.

Friction-reduced forms

Contact or booking forms ask only for what's needed - 3 fields converts better than 10.
