What goes wrong on most websites

Generic stock photography

Smiling strangers in stock photos signal "template website" to savvy buyers. Real photos of you, your work, and your process signal authenticity and build credibility before a word is read.

No visual proof of outcomes

Before/afters, finished work, client results, screenshots, and process photos are the most powerful trust-builders on a service or product page. Without them, you're asking for belief without evidence.

No video or dynamic content

A 60-second founder video outperforms 500 words of copy in almost every test. Video signals confidence, builds rapport, and answers the "can I trust this person?" question faster than text ever can.

Authentic photography

At least 3 photos of real work, real people, or real outcomes - no generic stock images.

Visual outcome evidence

Before/after images, project photos, or client results visible on key service pages.

Video or moving content

At least one video (founder intro, testimonial, or process overview) on the homepage.

Image optimisation

All images compressed to under 200kb without visible quality loss; WebP format where possible.

Alt-text and captioning

All meaningful images have descriptive alt text; complex images have visible captions.
